Coaching Course

IRB Rugby Coaching Course

Level 1 (Basic) IRB One Day Course
Run by Jock Peggie from IRB UK
There will be a basic Level 1 IRB Rugby Coaching Course held on
Friday 23rd October at the Episkopiana Hotel & football field, Episkopi.
10.00am – 6.30pm
Cost of the Course will be €50.

Fixture Changes

Hi Rugby Fans

Unfortunately, due to an Army Premiership match re arranged for this Friday, the 2nd Prince of Wales Royal Regiment (2PWRR) have had to postpone our match with them for this Saturday 26th September.
Sorry folks but no match this Saturday.

Fixtures have now been re arranged for the two cancellations over the last two weeks and our fixtures list for Oct and Nov are as follows:

10th Oct Paphos Tigers v Dhekelia
17th Oct No Match
24th Oct Paphos Tigers v Ayia Niks Stags
31st Oct RAF Akrotiri v Paphos Tigers

14th Nov No Match (Cyprus International v Monaco)
21st Nov 2PWRR v Paphos Tigers

It is the same as your fixtures card but 24th Oct and 21st Nov amended.
Hopefully we can now get back on course and get our season under way next week with a home match against Limassol.

Fun Day Thank You

Thank you thank you thank you, one and all.
What a great day out the Fun Day was.The sun shone all day, the parachutists fell on target, over 120 guys played rugby, from minis to veterans, The Tigers won the M1 Lux Cup, over 60 guys were playing fantastic football, hosted by the Paphos Cheetahs, over 80 stalls did a roaring trade and eight charities benefited as well. Thousands turned up and ate and drank heartily, and cheered on their teams and over 60 volunteers helped by running all those odd jobs that are so necessary for this to be a great day out and to make this whole day run like a well oiled machine.
RockFM hosted the day brilliantly, Neil Jenkins and Andy Moore gave kicking lessons and kicked off the big match and presented the M1 Lux Trophy ,and all of our sponsors were there, Mark & Tracey from Horizon group, Jorge and Andrew from Mercato del Golfo, and most important of all, John Thornton the Managing Director of M1 Lux who are the the main club sponsors, and are the Fun Day Sponsors , without whom this day could not be run.
Thank you John , we really do appreciate your help and support, and thank you all for attending, helping , playing and supporting.

Ayia Niks Stags have postponed our Home match against them this Saturday 19th Sept due to matters beyond their control. Brian Steenkiste our Fixture Secretary is trying to reorgansie this fixture asap. Will advise of new date when arranged.

Andy Moore on Rock FM

Hi Rugby Fans

If you want to listen to Andy Moore's interview( 26 caps for Wales) it will be on Rock FM 98.5 tomorrow
on the Lezline show sometime between 10am and noon.

She will also be interviwing Neil Jenkins ( 87 caps for Wales and over 1000 points) at the Fun Day this weekend so next week we will get another interview on the radio, probably next Thursday. Will advise.

So tune in to Rock Fm and Rugby - what a winning combination

Paphos Tigers Fun Day

Hi Tiger Fans

This is the big one, the big day is approaching fast and and it all comes to a head on Sunday 13th September at Kiniras Sports Ground in Geriskipou.

It bigger and better than ever with mini rugby colts rugby and veterans rugby.
For the first time Paphos Cheetahs soccer team have been invited and they will have displays and an exhibition match against Limassol Megasports team and they will also be playing against an All Stars side which includes some former Premiership players, and all this topped off by the big match
Paphos Tigers versus RAF Akrotiri Flamingos at 3pm, playing for the M1 Lux trophy.

Over 70 stalls selling their local wares, 8 charities, bars bbq's bouncy castles parachute displays and lots lots more.
Make sure you come along to one of the biggest events in Paphos this autumn, and so as you dont miss out on anything the itinerary for the day is attached.

So bring your family friends and neighbours down for a great day out.
